Man Steals 3 Semi-Trailers Of Goods From Parking Lot On I-87 In Yonkers: Police
A man faces larceny charges after allegedly stealing over $250,000 of consumable goods from a parking lot on a highway in Westchester, police said.
New Rochelle resident Kelvin Garcia Liriano, age 27, was arrested on Monday, April 17 for three counts of second-degree grand larceny, New York State Police announced on Thursday, May 18.
According to authorities, Liriano stole three semi-trailers of "consumable goods" from the Tandem Lot located on Interstate 87 northbound in Yonkers.
The value of the stolen goods totaled more than $250,000, police said.

A New Jersey man was among two people who died in an Upstate New York crash over the weekend.
A 65-year-old man was heading north in the southbound lane of Interstate 87 in a Mini Countryman, when he struck a Volvo XC70 head-on around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 in Chestertown, NY, State Police said.
The front seat Volvo passenger, Matthew G. Huff, 27, of Westfield, NJ, and rear passenger, Kerry O’Reilly, 30, of Dorchester, MA, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police: I-87 Traffic Stop Leads To Aggravated DWI Charge For Area Man Driving Three Times Limit
A 51-year-old man was nabbed allegedly driving drunk at three times the legal limit during a traffic stop.
The arrest took place around 11:15 p.m., Monday, May 18, in Rockland County when New York State Police stopped a vehicle on Interstate-87 in the village of South Nyack for several vehicle and traffic violations.
During the stop, the driver, Patrick A. Pierson, of West Nyack, was allegedly found to be intoxicated, said state police.
Pierson was taken into custody, and processed where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent, state police said.
